S-A. Our school is a designated affected postsecondary institutions whose term of study was interrupted due to Hurricane Katrina. How should we process aid that was disbursed to student's accounts for the term interrupted by the hurricane?
A. Hurricane Katrina Electronic Announcement #12 provides general guidance to schools on the Waiver of the Requirement to Return Title IV Funds by Gulf Hurricane Affected Institutions. In addition, the Department of Education is providing specific guidance to all designated affected postsecondary institutions whose term of study was interrupted due to Hurricane Katrina. (3/1)
