Direct Loan - Determine the Need to Print - Multi-Year

Introduction

Before you print an MPN, you should determine whether a new MPN is needed. Multi-year functional schools may not need to print a new MPN if a student already has an active MPN from a previous loan. In addition, if a student has completed an eMPN, it is not necessary to print another MPN.

Scenario

You have ISIRs for several students who need loan records. To determine if you need to print MPNs for these students, you must import their ISIR data into the Direct Loan module of EDExpress, check the MPN status, and if needed, update the MPN status on the Loans tab.

· Update the MPN Status Code
