Citations: (R)652.53 AsOfDate: 12/31/95 Sec. 652.53 What reports are required from an institution? (a) Prior to the receipt of funds for disbursement to a Scholar, an institution of higher education shall provide to the Secretary the following: (1) For a Scholar receiving his or her initial scholarship, a statement from the appropriate official at the institution indicating-- (i)(A) That the Scholar has provided the institution with a written formal commitment to attend the institution for the relevant academic year and has complied with any other institutional requirements for indicating such a commitment including a monetary deposit; or (B) That the Scholar is currently in attendance at that institution for the relevant academic year; and (ii) The Scholar's cost of attendance. (2) For a Scholar who is eligible to receive an additional award in a subsequent award year, a statement from the appropriate official at the institution indicating that the Scholar is in compliance with the renewal requirements of Sec. 652.42. (b) An institution shall provide such reports to the Secretary as are necessary to carry out the Secretary's functions under this part, in accordance with departmental requirements in EDGAR.
